About Us
Encino Yamaha Music School
is an authorized Yamaha music school and has been providing private and group music lessons to residents of the San Fernando Valley since 1999. The philosophy of our school focuses on a comprehensive music education system that goes beyond simply learning to play instruments. We encourage our students to love and appreciate the many benefits a musical education has to offer. Students enrolled in our Yamaha Group Lessons are able to develop a variety of necessary skills including keyboard harmony, ear training, expressive singing, sight reading, rhythm training and ensemble playing. Yamaha students acquire these valuable skills in a supportive and friendly environment! Our teachers are all Yamaha certified and aim to nurture the creativity and musicianship of each student.
As well as providing Yamaha Group Lessons, we also provide our students with traditional private lessons. During these lessons, students are taught to be excellent sight readers, expressive performers, and intuitive musicians.
All of our students have the option of participating in our semiannual recitals as well as in yearly Certificate of Merit Exams conducted by the Music Teachers’ Association of California.
